Another TR6060 Swap

Another TR6060 Swap
Hey guys, new to the forums. Blew the T56 in my 03z and going to undergo the process of swapping in a rebuilt TR6060 I ordered from these guys, https://reman-transmission.com/trans...s/?code=TR6060. Talked with them on the phone and sounded like good people plus the price was in my range. Think I'm going to try the diff machining method since I have a guy locally that's great for that kind of stuff. Any advice going forward on anything I should look out for would be appreciated

Welcome to the forum. The TR6060 is a good transmission. Don't really have any advice on the install though. I likely would have gone with a stage 3 or stage 5 RPM transmission, but the TR6060 should be able to hold up a little bit better than the stock 4L60E.

I'm currently having some problems with my 6-speed and I'm weighing all options. I'm curious, what is the primary use of your Z and what kind of power levels are you making? There's a wide variety of solutions out there for our T56s from RPM, Tick and even local rebuilds. Unless you're drag racing with gargantuan power numbers a properly optioned T56 should handle just about anything you can throw at it and it's a "simple" remove and replace.

Good luck with your conversion. The suggestion to check several other vendors is a good one. Don't know much about Reman Transmissions, but it sure can't hurt to check out the others that were recommended.
