New Z06 defect? Has anyone seen this?
So I am cleaning the Z06 getting ready to put the cover on. (I know I am a little behind, it is garaged)
The Plastic Molding that follows up the sides of the windshield and then covers the fiberglass above the door windows. On the drivers side about 2 inches up from the windshield the molding is cracked. And then I look at the passenger side, HOLY poopie its is cracked in half in the same place that the drivers side is starting at. And it looks ready to fly off. Has anyone seen this? It is probably only happening on HardTops maybe coupes I don't know if they have the same trim piece or not, probably not.
I sure hope there is a tech bulletin or something for this so I can have a little ammo to take to the dreaded dealer.

I haven't had any trouble with mine or heard of anyone else having a similar problem. Good luck getting it resolved. I think the dealer will cover that.

CJ-Z06,
Its funny I saw this, My Z is currently minus passanger side window gasket , track & plastic molding. The molding was broke completly in half so they had to take all of the above apart to replace it. I only problem was that the new peice that came in was damaged. A little piece of advise, if you get in to this area have the tech order all new as you will not get it off without damage.

I just walked out to the garage and checked mine. No crack on the driver's side but the passenger's side is cracked.

That looks like the area where some people place their hand when getting out of the car. Possible cause?

I have never seen that problem, nor I have heard anyone mention it. If you dread going to the dealer, why not choose one you have more confidence in:confused:
