c5z Best lighting upgrades? - 2022
I know this thread is repeated 2318472973 times, but most of the answers are old and threads are mixed.
Theres still new c5 upgrades popping up from various vendors. What are the current go-to Lighting upgrades for my new to me c5z?
Headlights are 1st priority. Would rather not just put random bulbs in old housings.
Second up is I have a c5.5 front end, so id like to do replacements for those as well with an actual fog light or at least a LED and housing.
I assume most of the other stuff, interior LEDs and tails are all pretty much the same across the board.

These bulbs (purchased both 9005 and 9006 for lo and hi beam) worked great in the stock housing but you will hear of how bad it is to put LED bulbs in stock housings and you need to speed $700 - $1000 to have good lights. I never got bright lighted from on coming traffic in the months that I drove with them.
I then changed to KnightDriveTv.com lights. They changed the look of the car and added a halo function to the lights that I drive with them on during the daylight so that I am more visible to other drivers. Light output is the same as the bulb replacement.
Damian (owner of KnightDriveTV) has now changed the light design to a round bulb design that has color changing capability. I like both equally well.

I would start by looking at Sharp Light innovations. The ACA lights are great. The other option would by The Knight Drive headlights. They are a low rise LED option that is very reasonable priced. The Knight Drives do not come with a bezel at this time, but that will be changing in the future. I love my ACA style headlights. If you talk to George at Sharp Light Innovations, he can probably work something out for your other lighting as well. For all of the other lighting, I would also consider Vette Lights. Their Laser LEDs are fantastic!

I am adding an option here this week. Bear in mind, every light option added fits the core bracket system, therefore you can change appearances as you wish, and only purchase the light variation/upgrades. Video will be posted on KnightDriveTV soon.

Another happy KnightDrive kit. I was in the super early beta stages (I think I was the 4th kit received, actually). Output is fantastic, cutoff is perfect.
For a great budget option in stock housings, get some HIR bulbs from Daniel Stern Lighting. He has 9011 bulbs with the correct casper shield on the end of the bulb tip that will keep the light pointed in the right direction in stock housings and the output in lumens is almost doubled. They run about $30 per bulb, but it's definitely a big upgrade over off-the-shelf lights or LEDs. I took out drop in LEDs for the DSL bulbs and was very happy before my KDTV kit came in.

This past weekend I did the full kit (minus headlights) from Vette-Lights.com. Outstanding customer service and outstanding products! Another vote for the LED conversion from Vette Lights.
