The infamous 1998 Pace Car Edition:
You don't see this everyday, and the MN6 is even harder to find.
I've always liked these. My buddy just listed it, and I'm very tempted to go buy it for myself.

I'd have to shelve the wheels, but that would be it. It's even got the Corsa Loudmouth with the single piece exhaust tip, rare, and what I have on my 2000 Coupe with 500HP.

Never understood that color combination. Even for a gaudy Indy Pace Car edition, (and cmon...they were ALL gaudy), it was bad. Just not my cup-o-tea.
There is a guy in C5 vehicles for sale looking for one, though. If you havent already, you might want to let him know about it.

When I was looking to make my first C5 purchase 8 years ago, a dealership had one on the lot. I was looking for a C5Z or a C6, the salesmen was like we don't have any Z06's, but we do have a Pace edition Corvette and I can make you a good deal on it. The thing was uglier in person than it was in pictures I had seen. It had been on the lot for 4 months and they had dropped the price several times. It only had around 40k on it and they were desperate to get rid of it at the price of $13,988.

I agree "infamous" is accurate. Another hater here .
The color scheme and decals you would expect from a kindergartener creation in arts and crafts class. Just like those awful drawings grandparents litter their refrigerators with.
Fugly and embarrassing.

I was just reading in a Corvette publication that the actual pace cars used on the track and not the "replicas" sold to the general public had a freer flowing intake and exhaust that bumped the car 25 hp. Anyone know the actual specifics and was it contracted out to a Chevrolet race team, or did GM handle the modifications?
