Tire sensors for a C5 Z06

Schrader tpms. I just did this mod on my 03 z and they worked fine, programmed with round magnet. Chevy Dealer turn on the feature for 70 dollars. Sure is nice to know if I'm getting a low tire ahead of time.

As said, you’ll need to have the TPMS turned on but nice to know if a loss of pressure is happening.

glad someone had success but I don't get it... took my 04 in for tires today at Discount Tire and to replace the TPMS with the Schraders and they called me to tell me that they couldn't get them programmed.
they put mine back on since they do work (for now)... not sure what my next step is

I programmed them off the car with round magnet made for this and marked them LF,RF,RR,LR before I had them installed. But they put them in the wrong spot anyway. I was able to reprogram them with the magnet on the car just fine. Don't know why DT couldn't get to work.

Seems cheaper and easier to simply have a tire pressure gauge in the car...

Go with GM sensors. I replace mine with every new set of tires which are usually swapped due t age vs. miles.

I see people reference the chev dealer turning the feature on and ecm needing to be activated... if my old sensors have been working all this time is that something that needs to be redone when the sensors are replaced? (need to have dealer redo it?)
my assumption is no, if its working then its been done and will always be working until its disabled for some reason... but
which makes me think that some C5s, maybe early years, needed to have that done (?)

No, all Z06's need to have it activated by a Tech2. I think all non z06's had TPMS from the factory

and I just realized the thread is titled "Tire sensors for a C5 Z06" ... I'm driving an 04 C5 but didn't catch that little detail since I was looking in a C5 General thread, I need some coffee
