Stripping C5 for drivetrain. Worth selling other parts?

Stripping C5 for drivetrain. Worth selling other parts?
I bought a wrecked 03 that I'm using the motor, trans, diff and irs out of. Everything else is in decent shape and seems like a waste to just scrap. I got a good enough deal where I'm not too worried about it...but would it be worth my time trying to sell the rest of the parts? How much could I expect to make selling things like quarter panels, hood, doors, lights etc. Also would imagine shipping being a peta for most of the bigger items. What are your thoughts?

If you have the storage space, I would say keep it regardless. You're right that it's a pain to sell everything, but if storage isn't an issue then you can just take your time with it. You could eventually make most if not all your money back, just gotta be patient. Now if storage IS an issue, then it might be a good idea to look into corvette salvage specialists like VetteNuts. I'm not sure what their policy is, but seeing as their entire business revolves around selling parts off salvaged corvettes, you may be able to sell whatever you have left to them. Best of luck to you with whichever route you go, but I definitely agree that just scrapping everything is certainly a waste. Out of curiosity, what are you putting the motor/trans/diff into?

I recommend you send a PM to forum Administrator pewter99 - he has parted out several C5s and can give you some sound advice on the +/- of doing it.

Yeah I might just bite the bullet on a mini storage deal then. I'll ask around at local salvage places too.
Putting all the bits into my 03 s10 step side. Goal is a speedy grocery getter that slides around corners good. And want to keep all the vette special stuff like the HUD and gauges etc.

You could post your location and a few pics showing interior and other areas here in the Parts For Sale section.
Then offer any fellow forum members to come pull-a-part locally for a few bucks.
Seats, fuel pumps, tail lights, antenna, radio *****, etc etc etc….
May help a few guys out and add a few easy bucks to your truck budget.
