Ya how are you going to see the curb you're trying to avoid scraping with a camera on the rear view mirror?

you can see the curb coming, if you don’t know when to stop, find a place with no curbstones

How does that help the OP? I feel like you're trying to defend your original position but it's entirely unhelpful.

His issue isn't parking between the lines, it's about scraping the front of the car on curbstones.

if you are afraid of scrapping on a curb stone, then don’t park there
that’s the best advice I can offer. If you can’t observe a curbstone from 10 feet away and stop before you scrape turn in your drivers license
have a nice day

OUCH!!! Man, I consider myself a good driver, and it's happened to me. It's happened to a lot of us. Except you, of course.......

By the way, outside of NY, most of us spell scraping with only 1 p. Scrapping is what we all do with the underside of the front ends of our C5's, at least, after we hit a curbstone. However, this applies only for those of us that can't park as well as Clancy......

no it’s high enough not. To hit anything, you’d hit the front of your car first. Check to see if you have a slot there. That camera fits right it with no modifications!

and all it takes is one scrape to ruin your paint so if putting a camera in helps, go for it!

Typical NY response-No help, just sarcasm. Too bad, because there are good people in NY, who got swept into my response. To those people, be they forum members, or otherwise, I apologize. Ive always tried to help people on this forum, which is the reason it exists, so this is totally out of character for me. But no apology to you. You MUST be a Cuomo on your mother's side Why not try helping people instead of being sarcastic, and insulting of our driving abilities? Perhaps you should start a Corvette parking school?
BTW.....I didn't learn to spell in a cow field. Just because YOU did doesn't mean we all did. But then, we all have scraped, NOT scrapped, our front underside on curbstones, where you have not. So maybe that cow field diploma you have isn't all bad!!

Was thinking possibly in the vent area. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. HOWEVER if you're going to
post on here about how using camera's isn't driving yada, yada. Please don't. Read and scan to the next one. I post
on here looking for help and ideas. Not to be put down like others have been. Thanks.
Wonder if they make any sort of LED foglight/camera combo? I don't know if one exists, but this would probably be an ideal product for this situation......

I did actually think about mounting it in there towards the middle. I
would like it more centered but that might just be the way it is. On
a different note. Was just wanting a camera for parking "assistance".
I CAN park without one. I can drive without power steering too. But it's
nice to have. Thanks for the positive responses and suggestions as to
where a camera can and has been placed.

Good point. We can all park, and do without power steering. Heck, we can all get around without a C5, too. But we all choose not to. Glad I could try to help you out.

Ours is the Kenwood DNX994S head unit. Our rear camera is the Audiovox ACA800 License Plate Mounted; the front camera is also Audiovox, but I do not recall the model number. We have had this set up for about three years or so. I am considering upgrading the cameras; both tend to wash out some if facing toward the sun and I am hoping I can get some cameras a little better in bright light. Other than that we have been very pleased with this set up.
If a picture of our front camera placement would help, I can get you one tomorrow, but as I said, our front bumper is the Corvette Creationz ZR1 set up so it would not be very compatible with the stock C5 bumper.
Hope this helps.

This is the place I think I will mount my front camera. Nice little spot and hard to see it and
should do the job. Thanks for the positive input.
