I've gotta give Ridies a thumbs up based on my fairly recent experience with them. I bought their full leather covers for the sport seats in my '99 vert which has a very hard to find/match Firethorn color interior. My professional upholstery shop positively commented on the quality of the leather and the fit. They were also impressed at the pricing. The color match was as close to perfection as I could ever want. I thought their customer service was great with quick response to inquiries and delivery was prompt.

IMHO "Ridies" is a great vendor and as you can see, there are no wrinkles from the installation, from D-Ride, my local installer. If you look closely at the published photos of most C5 seat cover installations, you will find 99% of them have wrinkles, or poor fitting. A great product and I will certainly use them again.

Do you still have the Logo and the word "CORVETTE" on them?

Do you do "partial" seat covers? The drivers seat bottom is somewhat worn and the vertical is good and the passenger seat pristine. So all I would need is a stock tan bottom section for the drivers side.

Sorry, we don't have the copyrights to do GM logos but some of our customers get GM logos done through local upholstery shops.

Sorry, we don't do just pieces, we only sell entire set.

I'm trying to decide on replacement covers and wonder why I sometimes see some newly installed sets end up with wrinkles and some without.
Seems like with new foam that shouldn't happen. Do they go away or can something be done? If they don't go away what is the typical recourse?

Thanks

Take time to talk to your installer and if he is careful and good at this trade, it is possible to have a wrinkle-free installation. It is surprising that so many installers
"throw on" the covers and call it a day!
It can be done, it just takes time and patience (and a heat gun).

A steamer will do a better job with less chance of burning the leather or vinyl.

Yes, a heat gun can wash out the grain in vinyl and even bubble it if you get to close or stay in a spot too long. A steamer is almost full proof other than you can get the foam too damp but you really have to try hard to do that. Probably the worst thing about a steamer is forgetting how hot it can get an burning yourself.

Definitely. Finding a good installer is the key.
