How right was RegularCarReviews about the C5?
I'm sure everyone here has seen his review on the C5. Was he right about the car and the owners on most of his points?

Yeah, been posted before.
I think the guy is full of chit. I think I was just 33 when I purchased my first Corvette.

There's a ton of Corvette hate out there, especially from the Porsche and JDM fanboys, keep that in mind.
I am brand agnostic and cross-shopped my C5Z purchase against everything else out there (including Porsches) within my budget of <$30k for a used sports car. This was objectively the best car and best performing sports car in that price range.
Purchased mine at 34 years old, the stupid Corvette stereotypes are just hate from loyalists from other brands who have nothing else to disparage the Corvette on.

That goofy dude was presenting the C5 Corvette did so from a very narrow and immature perspective.
First of all, be "well rounded" in your perception of things. Let it be grounded in facts and only the facts.
Don't let your life be governed by the dictates and opinions of others.
The America I grew up instilled in me the "can do" mindset. This seems missing in young people today.
A great example of this "can do" spirit is well depicted in the movie "The Right Stuff"
Corvette represents the American " Can Do" spirit quite well.
American astronauts are the epitome example of the American "Can Do" spirit
Last point : Corvettes and Astronauts - This is a proud American automotive historical fact.
(rant over)
God Bless America !

He probably feels sorry for Corvettes. You should start a thread over on the Mustang forum

You all need to quit being poor sports and watch his other stuff. His channel is actually quite funny. You have to admit, there is a segment of our community with....VERY questionable taste in appearance mods.

There are people who cover their car with bolt on carp and think it looks good, it's true. Or spend money on weird color schemes. Now that C5's are cheap, it's almost to be expected. It's either that or they go for slammed Hondas with flames painted on and stupidly loud exhausts.

Mr. Regular runs a satire channel. If you're upset by the video, you're the type of Corvette owner he was poking fun at.
Personally, his review was one of the reasons I bought a C5.

If you cant laugh at yourself sometimes...
But really I got one cause I have always wanted one. They look cool and are fun to drive. End of story for me.

Before deciding to buy my 3rd in life Corvette, I drove some of the other popular 2 seat sports cars; Porsche, Miata, S2000, Solstice, and Sky that were in my price range to purchase. I have to admit, my leaning was always towards the Corvette. But after driving the others factoring in all the pluses and minus (the C5 does have some especially the electronics), I decided the C5 was the one. Just wanted to make sure the one I bought had the lowest possibility of issues for my retired driving low mileage habits. After 6 years of ownership on a 2004 Vert, I am not disappointed.

Never really paid much attention to what others thought of the C5. I made up my own mind and had three of them spanning a total of about 18 years. No regrets on owning any of them.

Agreed, this is my 4th over a 50 year span of owning Vettes, hope to have a 5th soon, I just love them the only one I felt was poor was my 76 and its anemic engine and outdated swing arm suspension in the rear.

IMO, There really isn't anything quite like the C5 for anywhere near the price.
If all the C5s in the world somehow turned to dust right now (like in the Avengers movie) ... then I would buy a C6.
C6 comes closest but it is still quite a bit more $$ than the C5.

Funny coincidence, the C5 video is quite old, but he JUST dropped a video on the C6Z today. He was even more brutal this time. haha
