c5 z06 ticking noise... not trying to sound like advertisement
hey guys.. My 2003 Z06 has new valve springs and yella terra rockers installed by previous owner.
Since buying the car April of 2019, this damn ticking noise from the car drove me nuts. I tried, you name it, almost every damn oil (redline, mobile1, royal purple, penzoil, castrol 5w-30 and etc) and still had ticking noise.
So I purchased Amsoil 5w-30 and decided to change oil last week (Mobil1 5w-30) and guess what.. damn ticking noise is GONE in all RPMs!!! WTF! I can't be any happier. I can't say your car ticking noise will be fixed by amsoil, but hell, it sure fixed mine.
Could this be because Amsoil can get into lifter oil passage better than other oils? I'm just freaking happy as hell the damn ticking noise is GONE! BTW, my car have 31K miles.
