Years ago, I had a 1987 Trans Am with the digital dash. I jump started another car that had some type of electrical issue, not just a dead battery. My digital dash wasn’t right for a week. As I mentioned above; there is risk if both Vehicles are not in perfect condition. That’s why I recommend worst case scenario using a jumpbox which has way less risk associated.

So if damage can be done with a jump, only three options as I see it. 1. Have it towed 2. remove battery and hopefully charge it enough to get you home and replace battery. 3. Get a new battery and install it in place if that is an option

I had to jump start twice . Each time I replaced the battery immediately
