Why in the world am I trying to teach someone to read on Corvette Forum?
The point was, I've used Dorman parts on multiple cars from various manufacturers INCLUDING CHEVROLET CORVETTES and to date haven't had a single problem out of them. And I've 0 doubt that if I actually cared to track my personal MTBF of Delco v/s Dorman parts, the latter would win that contest by a fair margin. *shrugs*

You don't like Dorman, and that's fine. Feel free to vote with your money. I've used their products many times without problems. I'm not claiming they're a high-end, top-tier part maker, but their quality is on par with most OEM components IMHO. If you have statistics (not anecdotes) that indicate otherwise, I'd love to see them.

Still can't move past the fact that they make parts for multiple cars? OK then, I'll just translate your last post...
I don't actually have any data to support my position. Like a lot of car guys, I get hung up on brands and become snarky and passive-aggressive when someone suggests affordable alternatives to a vehicle that I want perceived as "special" or "elite". So in lieu of actual data, all I can really offer is a "gut feel" kinda thing that I want you to blindly accept as fact.

Looks like you are going to have to buy an entire master cylinder. $73 for the ac delco professional, which isn't bad. But it is likely built by the same supplier as the doorman one above - a ton of acdelco **** is made in china and is no better than anything else. My brand new acdelco professional water pump says "china" on it.

Ac delco is mainly made in Canada, Australia and sometimes Mexico. Even more rare are actuators made in Taiwan. If you have anything stamped China from ac delco it’s a fake or not oem. It’s that simple.

Incorrect. So you are confusing ACDelco and OEM GM parts and think they are one in the same. They are not, and ACDelco is simply a reseller like most other suppliers and manufacture little to nothing. No worries, as you share your vast knowledge you shall also learn things. It’s what makes this forum so great. I learn things everyday on here and am grateful for the experience that is shared

ac delco is a reseller? So you’re saying ac delco doesn’t manufacturer parts?
so if I order parts from a dealer, it isn’t manufactured by ac delco? Tread carefully here. I have about 40 parts I bought from gm that are stamped ac delco and not made in China. Lol.

It’s clear you have questions. I can help you find your answers and am here to help ya pal.
1. Call GM customer service and ask where they manufacture any parts, or if in fact they purchase parts from various suppliers.
2. If your too lazy to do that, call ACDelco and ask them what parts they manufacture in house vs purchase from various suppliers.
3. If your too lazy to do that, google is your friend.
4. If your too lazy to do that, continue on preaching to people in an attempt to qualify obtuse or ignorant opinions.
5. If your too lazy to do that, say something disrespectful or dumb in your next reply. I’m sure you won’t disappoint. 😁

We can’t fix your misinformation of corvette parts. We can’t fix the fact you copy and paste other peoples responses on this forum. All we can do is wish you well. I wish you well. You’re angry. I get it. But don’t take it out on others. We are all here for you in this troubling time.
