I am going to go outside and wash it this morning and intend to do the swap today or at the latest, tomorrow. Would be more comfortable with a second set of hands to assist, though I have seen the videos of one person doing removal/install.

YES, I will take several pics along the way and will snap one of the box and packaging that it arrived in yesterday afternoon.

It is on the car! I need to adjust it about .5 cm from lower left to upper right. Not bad for a 10 minute bolt up! Certainly decent enough for a driver. Threw a coat of Meguiars Qwik Detailer on it just now. Will adjust it in the morning after it sits overnight and settles.

Would I spend $1,000 again for it? Yes.

Already had compliments from the neighbor guys that walked over to have a look.

Most important, I can definitely feel the heat rolling out from the vents.

Like the shape, like the vents, like the finish. You were planning a partial paint, no? Should look terrific.

WOW...the carbon fiber looks pretty...I like the looks of this CF hood
Is this hood DOT compliant ? and are you going to use the required hood pins as per the instructions ? and not use gas struts as in the instructions ? ...just curious?
Thanks
i.e. below...
Notes:
Hood pins are required for proper installation of this product, and are not included with this purchase

Do not use gas struts since they create excessive pressure that can cause serious damage to your hood and their hardware

This hood is designed for vehicles with the stock air intake more details on - https://www.carid.com/carbon-creatio...pn-108911.html

The hood was set up for all factory mounting points (struts and latch hooks). Lowering it gently is the key, then lock down each latch point. I could be mistaken, but I believe the whole hood pin is just a disclaimer/racing application thing. Maybe I'm just stupid to it-who knows? lol

Yes, I am contemplating doing something along the lines of the Z06 CE hood with Red/Silver and maybe leaving a portion of the CF exposed in the vent/cowl area.

I'll take a few this morning after I wake up (caffeine injections), and head out to the garage.

Totally agree. I'm officially a member of the "Corvette DOT lawbreakers". Is it me or have the times changed due to frivolous lawsuits, hence anyone selling a product now disclaims the hell out of it, to protect themselves? The real head scratcher on the aftermarket hoods is that it references carbon fiber and fiberglass hoods (wait-what have these cars been made of since 1953??) should be pinned on all four corners in the event the layers of fiberglass/material peel away from the skeleton.

Everything I've done to my Harley has made it 100% track only/not street legal...no way it could ever be a track bike.

BTW-That is an AirRaid-not the stock intake. No clearance issues, contrary to the "disclaimer".

First impressions on visual inspection-no damage but appears to have what I would call rub or friction mars from the packaging. Also, I will contour and tighten the grilles on the vents a bit more, as they seem to be a bit loose for my liking. Planning to clean and prep for installation today or tomorrow. As with any body component, fitment will tell the story in the realm of quality. This hood retails for right around $1200, but I grabbed it on sale before Christmas, and all in to my door was just under $1000. I will post photos after install.
any pics of the underside? What website did you purchase from? Looks pretty good, figment looks good too

Thanks for the pics...so is that fiberglass weave i am seeing underneath the hood...by the pic, it does not look like CF....so the hood is CF on top and bonded to fiberglass underneath ?

Not sure as to what defines the CF process but I observed that as well. Definitely looks like a fiberglass base layer. It is definitely a lighter weight compared to the stock hood.

Pics are loaded. Several vendors carry this hood and dispatch orders to the wholesaler/distributor for fulfillment. I purchased from Andy's Autosport, as I could tell the delivery would come out of CA. Didn't want a hood travelling the entire US, so as to try and avoid the headache of damaged goods upon arrival.
