FS: Duckbill Urethane Bumper Blowout!
Hey guys, as some of you know this project started a while back. We had to invest a ton of money into this to even get them to consider making them. Well, fast forward, we have sold quite a bit, but we need to get a lot more sold. Basically, it’s just tying up money we have invested at this point. They are made to order, but have all be paid in advance, that why I say it’s just tying up money. I posted on FB and been busy with the holidays so didn’t get a chance to jump on here.
We we are doing these for $500 shipped anywhere in the lower 48 states! That’s an insane price on these, but I’d rather get them sold then just have them holding onto my money. You guys may know these come folded, this manufacturer doesn’t have boxes large enough or an account with a freight carrier to offer decent priced shipping. I personally received one as I wanted to see it for myself and with a little heat from a heat gun, I got it back to its original shape. It took a little work, but nothing crazy in my opinion. I just sat there, applied heat and massaged it a bit. Of course now being cold in most places a heat gun would be the tool of choice. If it was summer, throw it outside and your good.
Anyway, I have several pics from customers and consensus is they have fit pretty well...just the folded up part is what freaks people out, however for this price it’s a no brainer.

$500 does seem exceptionally reasonable. Question: these are a urethane, yes? As a urethane, are there suitable filler materials for fitting and prep? I have not had good results with Rage Gold or other polyester fillers on urethanes in the past.

$500 is a steal, because it includes $100 shipping so you’re getting the bumper for $400.
Yes they are urethane, I would hope that they wouldn’t need any filler. I could see some sanding but I’m not sure what filler if needed works with urethane, I’d imagine there is something out there.

Mine did, because the shop that finished mine, is very fussy about their finished work. However, I'm not sure what they used......

Well I have had my cover for a week or so and it has been laying on the garage floor, unboxed of course. No heat in the garage and with no portable heat applied the bumper looks pretty good having been folded over from each end to get it in the box. Now to find someone who has Corvette body experience or more specifically urethane bumper cover painting and fitting.

Looking forward to seeing it on the car. If you need the lower fascia gussets and adhesive, drop me a line.
