We made a rear bumper that everyone wanted and it's been somewhat of a letdown. I invest a lot of money into molds, so it's not just about making whatever we want. We need to make sure it makes sense, also we've looked into other manufacturers etc.

The fenders we have to use for the mold will be dropped off in a few weeks but even then, it will most likely be spring before they are done. We have coupe fenders, so those will be made first, then we need to get a set of Vert fenders to modify and make another set of molds.

They will have the marker lights filled in as Patches posted, and we will ask that the back have the same spot marked if anyone wants to cut it out for the markers.

I can attest to this! If you want a decent product you need the right manufacturer, but then it becomes a cost vs product vs time to get it all done! Problem is with most of us, we want to pay a fair price, and the business also needs to be able to make a viable profit or else it isn't really worth it. That being said working with a new manufacturer to get the molds right is crucial and takes the most time.

Pete, I look forward to see what the new manufacturer can do with the rear quarters.

I've always wanted flared rears on my 02 coupe and this might just put me over the edge. Besides weight, is there a difference between carbon fiber and fiberglass? What about the inner fender plastic? Won't it be short? Will it include something to extend the inner fender? I'd want the fender guards (mud flaps) too.

Thanks guys! As far as fender liners I know someone that makes the extensions. Mudguards I'd say to use C6Z. The weight difference between carbon and glass isn't huge but they'll be available in both. You guys have seen the fenders that will be made, I may have mentioned it, but we may do a group buy if anyone is interested. I'd say once the factory gets the molds it will take a couple months to get them made (in the quantity we'll order) we may end up doing like $100 off for guys that want to get in early and save some money.

Will be in line with our fronts $799 plus shipping or so in fiberglass. No paint option though.

Patches was going bring them in when he picked up his carbon fronts, the fronts got pushed back so he hasn’t brought them in yet. As soon as the fronts arrive which should be in a week or so he will bring them in and we’ll get started on them.

As Pete mentioned above, I was just waiting to pick up my front CF fenders from the fab shop that will be building the rear wide quarters based on the custom units I posted pics of in this thread. My quarters were custom built and fit multiple times during the fab process to a C5 by a local vendor here and have not been worked or modified since I picked them up so they are in perfect condition. I agreed to sacrifice these to be used as the templates for glass and CF versions so we can all finally have a smooth version of wide rear quarters that fit well and look the way many of us here want them to.

All I was waiting for to drop these off at the vendor's shop was for my fronts to be completed as it's a bit of a drive for me and I need to have a day off to make the trip. Fronts should be done beginning of Jan. so I will make the trip then and the process will start.

Hang in there and we should get what we have been waiting for soon.

At the original fab shop being completed.

Finished and ready to mount.

Merry Christmas, All!
