Is it just me?
Seats were miserably uncomfortable, and rocked and rocked. A/C needs a compressor, so driving was sauna hot. I got fed up.
New leather skins and new seat foams acquired, I pull the seats and drop them off with an upholstery shop. Woo hoo!
But now the seats are out. Why not change out the carpet too.
And since we're pulling the rugs, why not go with an insulation kit.
And what do you know, it's just a few more dollars to add sound deadening to the insulation. Insulation arrives quick, carpet a little less so.
Ready to go to work, schedule some vacation just in time for Irma (I'm in Orlando...). Spend the time cutting plywood instead.
Now, it's another month gone by, and the better half breaks her arm. I was hopeful I can have it back together before Christmas -- but now it looks like the double din radio bezel might be ready in the same time frame. Two months down for what seemed like a weekend project.
So far.

I have been down that road plenty of times with my car, it's easy to snowball and turn into a big project but that's all part of the game for some of us

I think we all go through what you are experiencing at one time or the other, especially when it comes to expanding what you plan to do once work is underway. Good luck - remember patience is a virtue.

Seriously, though, hope her arm is healing well.

My seat cover project turned into a full interior redo.
My oil pressure sender replacement project has turned into a heads & cam project (and whatever else...while I'm in there).

I started off changing my slave cylinder 4 weeks ago, well one thing after another ended up needing attention or changing and I am still waiting on parts for a few things before I can put her back together, just take your time and enjoy the process, it will get done.

You just need to get your enthusiasm for the project back.
Sometimes you just need to get started. Plan one thing at a time.
I sort of started slacking after the hurricanes too (JAX Fl). I keep doing the "add on" thing too. I'm getting back into it now that the weather has cooled off. It sucks to do the interior in 90 deg heat.
Why cant you just clean your carpets? Are there holes or fading?
