Interior Redo Photo Heavy Post
Well it didn't take long after I bought it to start changing things around. I didn
't like the grey interior so I ordered Dark Green (Jade) carpet, and Black and Orange seats. I found them on clearance at Mid America. (Not too many people getting Orange). New seat foam and some Black and Orange Shift boot, parking brake and door pull covers.
I'm going to do the brake calipers Orange too. Keeping the Irish Theme
Throughout.
Here's few photos of the progress.
Original Seat Covers, Drivers Side Torn.
New Seat Covers, Trying To Get Them Installed Tight.
Found Burn Mark In Rug Under Passenger Seat From Motor.
Mouse Home, Thank God The Wires Were OK.
Motor That Caused Burn Mark. It Was Bent Down A Bit.
This Lever Was The Biggest PIA To Get Off. The Spring Was Backwards.
Harbor Freight Tools, Made Removing Covers Easy.
While In There, I Did Seat Rocking Mod.(Bought On Ebay-Great Kit).
Bad Bushings.
Good Bushings.
Old Seat Covers.

I kind of like the black and orange seats. Looking forward to seeing completed pics.

I might suggest you do some sound deadening while you are at it. I plan on doing mine over the winter. Rebuild the seats, etc, while you have everything out, might as well think about it.

I'm stuck in the firehouse until Monday (24 hours of Oscar Tango) so I will post some more photos Monday night.

Well I was back at it today, got the foil backed insulation and the rugs in. I tried to do the rear corner light covers but the replacement rugs were too flimsy. The stock ones are super stiff and molded. That was a waste of $75.00. I'm going to spray paint them I think.
The seat rebuild was fairly easy, however I didn't get the zippers zipped up yet. I was doing it by myself for a 1/2 hour and gave up. Tomorrow I'll try again.
The Insulation. Easy to do, decent coverage.
Mid America.
Laying it all out. Had to look online to see where all the pieces go.
1st Step, Sprayed some Locktite Rug Glue to tack it up.
Used the back piece for the Seat Back Area. The original back Mass Back was good so I left it.
Did the Drivers Side first, didn't cut the seat holes until the foot rest and pedal stop were in, this way I can take the slack out.
I tried to pre-mark the carpet for seat bolts, don't waste your time they were off a bit. Used cardboard to feel for bolt then cut around it.
Carpet from Stock Interiors . Not bad stuff, lots of trimming. Came with some Mass Backing too.
Put the vent plate on and the floor mat holders back in. Did passenger side 1st and installed mat holder backwards. Got it right on my side.
Notice new parking break boot.
Passenger seat almost finished. Just gotta get the Zippers Done. That's the hardest part.
Also can't get Shifter **** off, if anyone has a trick for that. I'm replacing the boot.
Tomorrow I finish the seat and start the drivers seat. Then put console back together. A couple of more days it should be done. Then paint the brake calipers Orange to bring it all together.

Green body, not a fan, but it is YOUR car.
But green carpet...
...green and a brown/tan interior, black carpet go together, not orange.
Someday you might want to sell, and it will be a bear!
Just sayin.

Looks like you have a 6 speed. To remove the ****, you need to pry the shift pattern cover off. There is a demon key that has to be removed, then you can unscrew the ****.

You need at least one flat tip screwdriver (two is better) to get the demon key up and out.
Love your green C5, not sure about orange seats in it though. Still,
looking forward to seeing the final results. Best wishes in getting her done.
P.S. Nice doggie!

Passenger Seat is in, the hardest part was the figuring out and zipping the Zippers. Had to have my wife help me. Should finish up drivers seat tomorrow, then i gotta find 12 volts for phone before I put the console back. Might do a White Ball Shift Know too.
