Default Corsa Extreme- I'm in love!

I just replaced my stock TI mufflers with Corsa Extreme's and I think I am in love. Wow! You CAN have your cake and eat it too. I feel like I have dual mode exhaust. Corsa did an amazing job at keeping the noise outside the car. So well, that at highway cruising it seems quieter inside the cabin than with the factory TI mufflers. Yet you step on the gas and it is louder than anything I have ever heard before. I have ARH w/3" catless mid-pipe. H/C/I 490 whp. If you're thinking about what Corsa system to get, I highly recommend Extremes, it is very loud, it will turn heads, but it is not annoying inside the car. In fact it is very quiet at cruise with virtually no drone at all.

Agreed. Can't believe how much sound this exhaust pumps out. But drone-less silence is just a shift away.

Love mine too. Stock manifolds and H pipe, so just axle back Corsa Xtreme. At cruise and idle, slight rumble. up to half throttle and you can tell something is there. 3/4 to WOT and

I've gotten a middle finger (see my thread about that further down in C5 General) and scared a few people too. Wouldn't change a thing.

LG longtubes, X-pipe, high flow cats with Corsa Extreme 4'' quad tips.
Absolutely ZERO drone inside the car at any throttle.

I loved that exhaust when my car was stock but..... after 383, cam, headers and sc, I had to give them up it was just too loud on a vert...... basically straight pipes.

I hated to take them off as they absolutely look great, especially with the 4" tips.

Can't say enough good things about Corsa....So impressed with their sound, reliability, and quality well over 10 years on my C5. The Borla exhaust I have on my C4 will be changed out in favor of a Corsa. The rest of the aftermarket exhaust companies could learn a few things from Corsa...

Love mine. Dead quiet on the highway, but if you crank it, sounds monstrous. Don't know how they do it, but amazing. Love the look too. I went with the "four-in-a-row" look.

Love my extremes. Looking forward to hearing them once I put on headers.

Sounds good but a lot of money to drop on something that adds no power. Ebay Borla rip offs here.

I love my Corsa Extreme's too!. Have had mine now for almost 8 years and since ive kept a clean maintenance habit with them, the tips still look new. Coupled along with LG's off-road X-pipe, these things scream at WOT.

Can you provide a picture from the rear, but perfectly center? I've never seen or heard of the "four in a row" look. Looks great. Where did you get them? Which exact style Corsa are they? I thought the Xtremes were only "2 + 2".

I bought my C5 last summer. Within a month, bought Corsa Xtreme with 4 tips, 4" each. First modification ever done to the 16 year old car. Changed the car completely. It looks flat-out nasty vs. the "weak" looking stock exhaust. As for sound, it's phenomenal. Absolutely quiet at low rpms while in the car. Step on the gas, and it screams.

Corsa Exhaust > All.

Expensive or not, it's worth every penny. Why spend $700 for a mediocre exhaust when you can spend ~$1,100 for the C5 "gold standard"? The difference in price comes out to 4-5 nice dinners with the spouse. Skip a few nice meals and it pays for itself...and you'll have that gorgeous looking and amazing sounding exhaust forever.

I've had my Corsa Pace Car exhaust (pre-dates extreme) for 10 years now....still very happy to this day. Like others have mentioned, no drone but bad-azz when you give it the gun.

ill be sure to post my pre and post Corsa Extreme install dyno charts for you. It is a noticeable increase in hp felt by the seat of my pants. BUT that's because I have raised compression, H/C/I, almost 600 hp. Stock and minor bolt on C5 Z06's probably wouldn't have any power benefit.

You guys got me interested in the Corsa extremes, was initially interested in the Borla ATAK.

I will never be adding headers so this sounds like the aggressiveness that I am seeking.

They were already on the car when I bought it. They're the 2.5" Axle back, Dual Rear Exit Tigershark 3.5" Polished Pro-Series.

You are correct that Xtreme's only come in the 2+2 configuration, meaning that there is a gap between the two sides. I mistakenly thought that the Tigershark's came in both Sport and Xtreme, but thanks to your question, I'm goin' to bed a bit less stoopid tonight.

But I must say, at 60 in 6th, it's as quiet as the wife's new Murano in the car, but as soon as it breaks through 2500 rpm,
