New Engine from RMCR in CO Springs.
My C5 Corvette is finally out of the hospital and got to see her new home and roommates. She was in ICU for a year and then 6 months in rehabilitation it was a long road but with the help of some mechanical upgrades she is stronger then ever. 622hp at the wheels and louder then any Corvette I have heard.
I guess I blew a head gasket that let water in the cylinder, then vapor locked and broke the starter tab off the block. Never had water in the oil. I don't get it, but that is the closest we have come to what killed the old block. Little odd cause it was running. Car did not lock up or die. I was on the track session ended and I turned it off. Tried to start the car later in the day to go home and it would not start. Starter just spun. Turns out the starter was broken off.
Bought a used LS1 block that had a nice cam in it. Then had RMCR rebuilt it. upgraded and gapped the rings for boost. Added all ARP bolts to make it a little stronger.

Congrats on getting the car back to life - quite a long journey you had. Car sounds great and nice power from the motor.

My cars dont sit in parking lots and look pretty. My cars are tracked, hence the blown engine.
How many track days a year are you two doing?
Tracks require a number. I like vinyl better then painters tape.
Pretty much all track cars have numbers. Let me guess you to also think my tires are bald?
Hoping to get in 20+ track days this season. So yes my cars have numbers and the z51 looks better then just 51
Goal is to be racing in NASA in 3 years.
Track officials at PMP told me that was to small they could not clearly see it so it is larger and colors are changed.
And yes that is a 1996 LT4 Z51 in Black... 1 of 35.

Gord, don't get all bent out of shape defensive, you've been here long enough to have seen the 'adds horsepower' HUMOROUS comments lots of times. It's a FORUM! If I hadn't posted that add on, someone else would have volunteered. Always seems to manifest it self when extra badges, windshield banners, etc. are concerned.
No one knew that car was yours too.
Everyone likes your motor, and you track your car, that's great Gord.

This forum always gives me crap for the numbers. Most Corvettes never see a track so instantly a sticker means your a ricer. You are right.... every time a sticker is on a car in this forum it will go that way.
