Trying to hook up my Passport 8500 via InvisiCord... PLZ HELP!
2003 C5Z
So I hooked it up as shown and it doesn't work with doors closed and ignition to acc. The 2nd in orange wire was already cut because I like to have my footwell lights on without the rearview mirror lights on so I spliced it with the "black" wrap (the black wrap was on the green wire (ground) but I cut that off so think of the black wrap as the green wire) and the yellow wrap in the brown wire and aren't getting anything...
This doesn't even make sense though, shouldn't the black wrap (green wire (ground)) be connected to the black wire since that is ground too? Idk what wire ignition is but the 2nd in orange wire is definitely door open wire so the chart doesn't make any sense...
I just want to have my Passport 85000 turn on when I turn the ignition on. PLEASE HELP! I searched a lot but all the pics of the wiring diagrams are broken.
Thanks!

Surely someone will be able to chime in and solve this for you quickly, but I would suggest borrowing or purchasing a voltmeter that would allow you to identify a proper switched 12v source and ground.

I ran it down the A pilar to passenger side. did an add a circuit in the fuse location and grounded it to the bottom of the BCM housing. works great and is only on when car is running. If you want to go that route, let me know and I can look at what I did.

On my DIY Invisicord for the Uniden DFR7, I have it tapped into the brown and black wires. Works with the ignition, doesn't turn on when the key is turned to ACC (and seriously, why would you need it on in ACC?)
Mine gets power regardless of whether doors are open or closed as long as key is to the On position.
