A member here just installed one of these, a big downgrade and sounded like crap. He recently started a thread.

There are two types pictured. The small round and the larger oval
I wonder what the sound difference is? Logic would be the smaller round would be louder. I bought that one based on a sound clip on one of the other posts. We will see.

This is a 399.00 axle back that I purchased 2 years ago. Is it a work of art? Nope. How did it install/perform/sound ?

No complaints at all. Tips lined up, no drone what so ever. Made 436/412 on a nitrous safe tune NA(bolt on's and cam). A great value IMHO.

I've seen mostly positive reviews on these, but I prefer to use the zo6 titaniums. I got lucky and only paid $250....installed.

many of us (myself included) have had fitment issues on the big name brand systems as well

Paying more money doesn't equal better performance all the time, although id still rather buy a used set of a known brand that I like (like B&B Bullets)

I'm surprised these Chinese companies don't offer a cheap straight pipe option, which I bet would sell like hot cakes

Ya know, I was thinking that for the time being a stock muffler by-pass wouldn't be a bad idea but I don't know what it would sound like...now that I heard the video I just might do it....and it will hold me over until the funds become available for a Corsa cat-back system

As some have said The inside right tip is at a slight angle. all the rest are straight. Must be a fixture problem However just a quick look at my factory tips they seem a little off too.

My factory exhaust tips are not perfectly strait either.

OK I put mine on a few days ago. The pass side sits at a greater angle in then the driver side. When you are under it you can see it. When on the ground you don't notice unless looking straight down at it. This is just like everything we work on. The house, yard, etc. When you focus on it you see every little thing. After two weeks you don't even see it.
My main thing is the sound. It is a little louder and throatier at idle. When giving throttle it is better and seems to calm down at higher RPM.
My system is stock cats, new x pipe and the EBay small round muffler system.
If this is a copy of a corsia or borla I would be pissed spending 900 to 1300 for this sound. Don't get me wrong, the sound is ok but not worth the big bucks. For 350 it is fine.. I would like it to be a little louder.

Interesting, I would guess that the smaller round mufflers would be louder by default.

Back in '07 I purchased a cat-back system from a CA motorsports business that was made in China. It was almost 1/3 the cost of the big brands ($500 delivered). It lined up perfect, with a little help from a friend, and has held up very well. What kind of quality you get today, I don't know.

those look like my NXT step which is just a Chinese catback. One of my first mods thougth has held up great for 8 years and sounds great. Tips took a few times to get right. Granetteli was rebadging the NXT and selling for more as well. Im sure they are fine but at that price I would consider a used TI exhaust

I agree about TI's. The ONLY exhaust I would replace it with is a Corsa sport with Tigershark tips, and 90% of that decision would be for looks.

Btw, Tom, you and I were on a thread about interiors/cf wrap. I don't remember what it was, but I had a question about the underwood wrap you did.

Well the wrap in the engine has held up amazing. not peels or bubbles. Key again is using 3m on the curves and really cleaning the surface.

here is the last thing you said

Yes but we don't know what the bigger mufflers sound like.
I have not heard any of the big dollar systems so it's hard to compare but the price difference is so great that I just don't see how they are worth it
I am all for buying American but 5X the cost??

I like the way they look also. Been looking at these. When it is time to replace my system, I will look at these.
