Side moldings removed if they are still on........doesn't cost anything and major major visual body line improvement.

My personal top things:

Light blackout kit (mandatory)
Coilovers (wheel gap is ugly)
MGW shifter (so good)
New wheels (only Z ive ever seen with my wheels is mine so cool being unique)
Full Exhaust (got to hear it!)
Big camshaft (compliments the exhaust heh)

I have a laundry list of mods on mine.. but these -I guess- would be my top things id change before i was happy with the car. Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires are also worlds better then most other tires out there, especially the stock ones. Made a huge difference in performance.

CAI
Cat back
Tune
Stereo HU upgrade
Projecter HID's.

Highly recommend maintenance like cleaning the radiator fins #1. A profesional detail got done to mine on Day #2

On my 2004 Z06, I added a new short shifter. It drove like a different Corvette. Way better.

For any newbies, I have translated radar502s post into something coherent.

Your version is still grammatically incorrect.

Because I didn't say, "It is way better".

I just said it was coherent. Teaching him grammar would be another kettle of fish.......

LG long tube headers to an X pipe to the original titanium mufflers, no catalytic converters, is that the reason for the exhaust smell?

Yes. A good tune should get rid of that, but that might be harder by mail order.

No way to tune out the smell without cats. Trust me on that, mine is tuned and I used to get choked out at lights. I'd imagine all the cars around hated me.

I have hi-flow cats and it still stunk. I add a bottle of the fuel fragrance from Summit each time I fill up gas. Bubble gum smell. Kinda expensive but it's not driven a whole lot so the cost isn't a big deal.

That alone has cut the fuel smell in half and the hints you get at a light are much more bearable. Now following behind me gives you the munchies.

I guess I have been living under a rock, because I have never heard of such a product. I guess it's true, there is a market for anything.....

E85 will fix it, a good tune will certainly make it less.

Number One: Miles! Drive the dxxn thing. Just went past 100,000 miles and have never regretted one of them! MGW made it more fun and new valve springs made sleeping easier - but lots of miles per dollar spent has made it all worthwhile. Take trips, do track days, autocross, wax it 'cause it's Thursday - but drive it. You can look at a model on the shelf - DRiVE THE CAR!!

upgraded sound system that i can listen to without cringing

high end tires and new shocks

that's about it, the rest is fine stock. slightly more pull 5000-6500 would be nice but more cam = more emissions so i understand why they went tame

i also have never missed a shift with the stock shifter. not sure why it's such a popular upgrade?

Upgrades on my 03Z

Valve Springs…cheap compared to replacing the motor
Radio Flyer ACA Headlights…the stock lights are a disaster
Skip shift eliminator
Column lock
CCW Sp 16A 19" wheels
Michelin Pilot Sports 305/30/19 rears 265/30/19 fronts
Trunk partition…handy for storage and it cuts down on a bit of noise

Like to have

A bit more horsepower…headers…cam but not much more
Seats

Love the car hope you guys enjoy yours.
