Convertible Top Rear Window Tinting
Having a new top installed on my '04 this week. Am wondering if any of you fellow 'vert owners have had tinting applied to your rear window? If so, any problems or things I should be concerned with if its possible to do. Thanks.

Make sure that they use a putty knife or something similar when trimming the tint of the rear window to protect the inside fabric. The place that did mine just ran a razor blade along the window trim edge which sliced through the fabric exposing the bare metal frame underneath. They said that the side windows are laser precut to fit but the rear window was cut by hand. They did it as fast as they could and it shows.

My three window are tinted dark (not limo black) and find it a bit too dark especially at night. The only issue with rear window make sure the installer takes time and trims it "perfectly" as it is noticeable if cut short of edge.

2000 vert windows were tinted 14 years ago. Not a single problem with anyone of them, well except the rear window has separated twice now looks like the third time is around the corner. Nothing to do with the rear window being tinted (known issue).
Rhino Glue lasts about 4 years. My top goes up and down alot :-)
Just make sure your going with a pro.
