I drive the Coupe a couple days a week, the truck the other days. 12 mile round trip to my van pool. I always take it if I drive in to the office, 104 miles round trip, more fun and better gas mileage. Has 138K on her right now. The Z06 is for weekends.

I'll drive mine to work (like today) but usually only if working a 1/2 day. My commute is all back roads so it's like a track day at 0600. Also I'm reading "Red" and when you read all the testing these cars went though, it kind of incites me to baby it less if that makes sense. One quote from the book was "If there is one car you can back out of a snowy driveway onto a icy road and still go like heck, it should be a Corvette". That's not exact but based on what I'm reading, these cars should be great DD's. However I do have my trusty Corolla for that role....

Now that we've moved to Florida, mine has become an all year car. If I'm going somewhere and it's not raining, chances are I'm in my C5

Every day except when it is raining. I read here Corvettes melt if rained on.

I had wondered this but never ask. I am a member of a local Corvette club that has between 100-150 Vettes in the club. Less than 10% are daily drivers. Heck there is probably 30-40 C7s in the club and most have never seen rain.

Originally bought mine as a DD. Drove it to & from work every day there was not snow on the ground. Now retired, so it does not get used as much - but when I want to go anywhere, it's the vehicle of choice. But when "we" go anywhere, it's usually the Legacy GT.

One of the best pleasures of being retired is no DD to work. I drive the vert all the time even on short 3 mile treks for stuff (takes me 1 hour of driving to get there ) the late spring, summer, and fall as long as no rain. During the winter, once a week with no snow, ice, or salt on the roads. Averaging almost 4K a year.

Bought mine new and drove as a daily driver for 15 years until I retired, 180k miles. I could not imagine not driving it, good therapy.

I daily mine every chance I get. 109k miles running strong. Last week my wipers started acting crazy after a heavy rain storm, my udders were clogged which led to the circuit board be overflooded with water. Removed the motor and cleaned everything but nothing helped. So I had to park the C5 for a few days until the wipers are working again.

This is pretty much my story too.

Of course mine has missed a huge portion of this summer either being worked on or awaiting the new engine/trans/rear/suspension I've got ready for it. Was going to do that this week but mucked up my finger so that put it back a while longer.

I 'try' to keep it clean, and avoid inclement weather, but if I'm caught in the rain or I didn't realize it was going to rain, I don't get excited about it.

Except for one day when I was concerned about high water in the area, I have driven mine every single day since I bought it 9 months ago. Had 145K when I bought it. Now at 153K.

Default only car

I am retired, living in Wisconsin. The vet is my only car and I drive it year round.

To be fair, I normally only drive a few days a week and don't go out when the roads are sloppy as they are generally clear by the next day. This is the same way I drove my Sebring before replacing it with the vet.

Back in the 60's I had a GT-500 that I drove year around. Cars are made to drive, not sit in the garage.

I drive my 2001 Convertible 99% of the time.
I wore out a 2001 coupe (not really wore out,,, but 150,000 miles) and traded it in on a 2014 coupe.
Then I made my low mileage convertible my DD. It now has about 35,000 miles.
The NRB 2014 is my 'on occasion" car.

I DD mine 8 months a year except when it's raining. It's a vert and I drive top down into Boston every day. 70 miles round trip. I bought it to drive it and I love every minute of it.

I sort of use my 98 as a daily driver. If the weather is nice, I'll take her everywhere. If it is chitty out, I'll use the Expedition.
My 02 is a nice weekend only car. Yes, I'm afraid it will melt if it gets wet

Chicago owner...so daily driven in sun and rain. Use an AWD Terrain for the white stuff.

My commute is short at only 10 miles round trip, but have no problems driving it for everyday errands and longer trips either. Previous owner had short commute as well, but avoided rain. Got 25,000 miles on a 2004.

I daily drove mine for 8 years before my son was born, then bought a truck and now daily drive that.

I would love to drive it more often but the wacko drivers here in Houston worry me a bit too much. I do drive it to the gym a couple nights a week as well as to track days and the occasional car show.

Funny, I did the opposite... I sold my 4 door BMW and bought my Z just after my 2nd girl was born (3 YO and 3 month old when I got it).
