What the Heck Is This?

Yikes $79K, there are customized C5's like this C6 out there also.
Saw a C5 customized to a late C1 body at CT Barrett Jackson sold for something less if I remember correctly, maybe $40K.
Not sure if these are one offs or a company that does them small scale?

I thought the $79k was a bit over the top, too. Especially since the carfax shows it being wrecked with an airbag deployment.
I think it was built by Karl Kustom out of Des Moines. Not sure of the market for those.

First C6 I have seen that I liked! But $80,000 for a used car with 50k miles?

Karl usually does some really nice stuff. I've seen several companies try to fit a C2 body on a C5/C6 frame and the perspective usually gets lost, as it did with this one...

It is the windshield. They need to change the angle of the windshield and get that right.
One day, I'll be rich and have a 57 and a 63 coupe with a C5-C7 fram under.......... but don't botch together a few panels and call it a kit. This looks half......... something.

How was this thing ever sold as a certified used vehicle with this on the carfax?
Multiple owners, high mileage for something like this and $80k? Good luck

This redesign is much better than the C7 now in production. The C2 style is the best in my mind. Combine the C2 style with today's tech (appears that what has been attempted with this car), it combines the best of two worlds. Just my .02 worth.

Not jesting, I just think the style of the C2's are the real Corvette image. Don't get me wrong, I like my C5 '04 vert. But if I could afford a C2 Vert, it would be in my driveway.

I saw this exact same kit (except it was a vert kit) on a 2005 C6 yesterday at a 4th of July car show. The vert looks much more realistic than the coupe imho. I suppose thats one way to get yourself a C2.

Hmmmm, well, I love 67's, admire the attempt, but just doesn't quite look right to me. For that kind of money I'd rather have the real thing. Anyway, just my thoughts on that. Best wishes!

After the vehicle was wrecked, it shows it was subsequently sold as a GM Certified Vehicle. That's interesting.
I have seen worse recreations done, but I'd agree it would probably look better as a vert.
Anyway, do not think I would pay nearly $80K for it.

I would love to see that car in person. I am betting it looks FANTASTIC and I probably would love to own it but the price is too much. You can own a original C2 in great shape for that price. I believe a lot of excellent workmanship when into this car and they are just trying cover some of the costs. As far as the lines go it is bang on! IMHO (you have to know that I own a SSR too, and love it, I rest my case, lol)

One advantage of a C2, they ride so bad so you would never drive it!
Spoke a 62 owner this weekend. Asked if he had ever taken the car on a trip. His response, "Are you crazy". Then he went on to explain how poorly it rode.
I too love the style, but need a little comfort for my bum!
