Dads c5 z05 handles better than mine!
My dad and i both have 2003 c5 z06's, and for some reason his has always handled better on the track than mine. My lap times are always half a second faster in his vette with both cars in stock trim. I recently installed the johnny o'connell shocks, sway bars, adjustable end links, and poly bushings, and took the beast to get a track alignment and corner balance in an attempt to finally handle better than his car. Now after all that money and effort, i can still drive his damn vette faster than i can drive mine, for some reason his car has always felt more planted, tighter, and just so damn precise compared to mine, i cant figure it out for the life of me! Can someone please help me understand why his same exact vette has always driven better than mine has??!!

Assuming both aligned the same? Same height? All factory bushings in both cars?

...This really is a conundrum, have you had both cars put on a dyno to compare HP numbers. After having spent that kind of money and time on suspension upgrades and set up, this really doesn't make sense. Please post further results in finding out the reason or solution to this disparity !!....By the way, is Dad's car Red !! LOL, jus kidd'in !!....

Both have stock seats but his driver seat is worn out comoared to mine. Hey i just thought of this, could i possibly have a problem with my leaf springs????? Like maybe some hairline fractures or something that could be causing my car to corner like crap??

And im not talking about around town cornering, im talking about high speed at the edge of the cars limits cornering. My dad claims he cant tell the difference between the two, but his lap times dont even cone close to mine so i know hes not at the limits of the cars to be able to tell

Not every car is the same, plain and simple.
Not sure why it bothers you so much, I guess it's the dad and son competition.
Couple guys local to me did the same thing. They both had modded C5z's, the sons was faster, so the dad super charged his car and made it faster than his sons, the son then sold the C5Z and bought a built C6Z lol
Pretty dam cool tho!
