Looking at upgrading the seats in my 02 Z06. From what I've read it seems that the C7 seats won't fit. Hope someone can prove this to be false.

Also love the look of the Recaros in the new GT350. Anyone know if those will fit/work in a C5Z??

Having just sold a new Mustang GT, I highly doubt the Recaro's from a mustang will work. They'll likely be much too wide. Then again, I'm just guessing. It would make for an interesting project.

I'm fairly certain that people have put the C7 seats in C6's. So, if they'll fit there, you should be able to get them to fit a C5.

I installed a pair of seats from a Dodge Neon SRT4. They were originally intended for my Pontiac Fiero, but did not fit well. Made my own mount brackets, and used the Neon seat belts. Love the seats, lots of side support. Search this forum. I got the idea from someone else on here that did the same swap.

Yeah, those are all C6s, seen the threads, we are talking about C5s.
The OP mentioned he has read the C7s won't fit in a C5. I questioned the source, as I have not seen where anyone has tried.

Like I mentioned earlier, if they'll fit in a C6, they'll likely fit in a C5. Thanks for pointing out the obvious though.

Negative, the C6 can accommodate more options than C5 because it is wider. The C5 seat choices are really limited, I've put several in mine over the years.

Noted, but if the seat in question is similar to a C6 seat it'll likey fit considering the C6 fits just fine in a C5.

evo8 recaros are the best option i have seen fit to the c5

you have OE reliability and crash testing. a great fit and a great seat. problem is the leather ones are hard to find and cloth will need to be reupholstered
