Default Carbon C5 Stingray Style hood

We just got these in stock. I actually think they look pretty good and would like to see one mounted etc. I'll offer I the first person that is willing to try one out a one time price of $695 plus shipping.

Pete,

Can you post a pic of the underside so we can see what the structural support looks like?

Thanks.

That is a pretty cool looking hood. It looks like it has a little high rise to it. If so, how much of a rise is there?

Cool hood, track spec guys should be nervous! Had I waited, I would just have bought one of these.......

I'm into my spare hood with track spec hood for $425 or so. And the donor hood is scratched to sheet

I agree. Would like to see the underside as well. May be the best looking after-market hood I have seen. Will it be available to be painted or are they all CF?

Dang....where were you like 3 weeks ago before I just got my ACP heat extraction hood painted, etc? I got an el cheapo paint job on almost paid that much not including the cost of the hood.

What is the weight of the hood?

Yes, it has a little cowl to it, It's not much and inch or inch and a half at most.

Yea, they'll be available in glass too.

Not sure on weight honestly, but based off our other hoods, I'd say 10lb's lighter than OEM.

Really cool, can't wait to see installed pics. I know a forum member just recently installed the vent on his stock hood but this CF one has a tiny tiny rise to it so it'll be interesting so it installed.

Lastly I've been ccurious about what the "Stinger" stripe from the C7 would look like on the C5 but as it sits with the stock hood the appearance just doesn't fit. This however should look really good considering the MCM hood more or less gave us the stinger years ago.

As soon as it arrives I will install it & check the fit. I will also post pics before & after the planned paint scheme.
