It's Time....Maybe A Peace Sign?
I was driving to work today in my DD and coming toward me was a beautiful garage kept yellow C5 just out from hibernation. I know it was garage kept because it looked like he just took the cover off. It looked brand new and the chrome wheels were polished. Gorgeous.
Here's the rub, I wanted to wave to him. I have waved in the past in my DD but always get a look of what's wrong with you.
I thought about it for a while and came up with a solution. Flash the peace sign. Or another way to look at, a V sign for a fellow Vette owner.
Almost like a hidden code of another vette owner! Any Thoughts?

Hey,
Corvette or DD, there is a lot to say for garage-kept. My C5 was my DD for years and my present DD is also garage-kept. In north-eastern Colorado, I haven't scraped frost off of a window in years!!!!! That, in itself, speaks volumes for a garage!!! There is no way that I want to have to crawl up high enough to reach the windshield of a high-lift Z71 4X4 at 60 years of age and risk breaking a hip or something if I were to "have a mishap".
Garage-kept.....NOT a Garage Queen!!!!!

I would not take it to heart.... even if you were in a Corvette, its possible, the guy missed you, or the sun was low, or he was paying more attention to the road than you.
If your daily driver was no a Corvette, you cant blame him. I don't look at who is driving in cars going the other way. I've waved for 50 years. I don't take offense if someone doesn't wave back.
If I'm in another car, I don't wave . Just something I've never done.. it s just me.
When I'm Corvetting, I am always in the Corvette Zone. A smile on my Face and a semi in my pants.

I think the wave should be replaced with a simple thumbs-up. I don't get the whole wave thing anyway. Some people may just be wave-shy or just feel stupid waving at another car just because its the same model as theirs.

Depending on which way your peace sign is facing it could mean 1 of 2 things so be careful of that but most people wouldn't know that anyway. In Europe when displayed with the palm inward towards the signer, it has long been an offensive gesture, like flipping someone off...

Oh dam, was that you !!! Just kidding, I'm on the west coast but my car always looks like I just finished polishing it, winter -spring-summer or fall, The weather here is dam near good enough to drive it all year, Did I mention "drought" Any sign or a simple thumbs up at another car is always cool, just hope they don't get it confused with that dredded middle finger...then you may have a problem on your hands you don't really want...
