Default 1992 C5 design concept car

I posted this under the thread "All Corvette's Are Red - WOW" also, but for those of you who haven't seen or followed that thread, if you are interested in the history of the C5, I found this yesterday on MSN Autos and it has a few pics;

Looks kinda like a Miata. Good thing they reconsidered the design.

Definitely ugly but also very cool in that you can totally see certain curves and lines from the body design made it to production in the C5.

uncanny resemblance. I think there was some discussion in the book about using some of the prototype design cues for Saturn models.

Sure glad the C5 did not turn out with that design.

It's interesting to see the progression in the design of the final version, but I'm real glad that wasn't it. Otherwise, I'd be driving something else. Our cars are an outstanding, real good looking car, even after 19 years on the road competing with everything else that's come along.

Hey *****,

You know what... I happen to own a C4. A Torch Red 94 Convertible. I have many a great road trips in that car! And like many others on the C5 forum have stepped up from a C4 to a C5 over time.

So maybe next time you want to make a comment like this..DON'T because I find it rude and disrespectful to past and current C4 owners. Would you say something like that to my face if we were together in public?
I would hope.

My daughter is getting my C4 as a college graduation gift in a few months. It was built the same year she was born and she is proud as hell to call it hers.

Maybe think before you type next time.

I agree. The first thought that came to my mind was that it looks like a Saturn.

Glad they decided against this one.
Looks too much like Pontiac G8 from the front end.

I was thinking more like a Pontiac Solstice, but for sure Pontiac was all over this for their next generation of cars.
