Fast intake swap idle

Fast intake swap idle
Just swapped from a ls1 intake to a fast 76 now my car will barely idle and when driving it it stumbles often. Is this because it needs a retune or something else? Also replaced my oil pressure sensor. It didn't fix the problem on that. Before it showed max pressure now it shows xxx and sometimes reads up to like 4. Engine also sounds louder now lol

1/4 mile/AutoX
you have all the vacuum lines hooked up in the back of the intake??? or break the vacuum fitting ????? spray some carb cleaner back there see if the engine then picks up RPM's !!!

1. SOOOOOOO, much stuff to do when you install aftermarket stuff.
I have never installed a Fast 76 BUT, I have installed several FAST 90s.
In the install kit, it provided some low profile valve valley cover bolts that MUST be installed. The OEM Factory cover bolt heads are WAY TOO TALL and will rupture the bottom of the FAST intake.
DID,,,, you install those low profile bolts????
2. If you have a 97-2000 there is steam cross over piping under the intake manifold. The FAST will not fit if those pipes are not removed and the cross over system is converted to a 2001 + style cross over system.
3. VACUUM LEAKS. Got to inspect for leaks. Use brake parts cleaner and spray around ANY & ALL fittings, flanges, joints, gasket areas and see if the idle improves/changes. IF,, it does, you found the vacuum leak.
4. Where / How did you mount the MAP Sensor? Many people have had problems mounting it and it alone have either:
a. Not been connected properly
b. Not seated properly
c. ALL of the above
5, Is the AIR Ducting between the MAF and throttle body properly sealed.
6 and final What DTCs do you have. Please read and post all the DTCs

Any of them will work. Brake parts cleaner is safer on plastics but, your not washing down the engine with any of them.

Burning Brakes
Brake cleaner or Carb cleaner will both work. Smoke machine is the best way to track a leak if you have one... there are home made ones i have seen online, seem to do the trick.
