Default Retiring Today, and have a boat load.............

Retiring Today, and have a boat load of goodies for the vette to play with..........
SO -- I have been collecting parts/goodies for the past year for my 01 coupe. Starting Monday 1/4/16 Will be doing the following;

Adding; sound/heat kit to my interior, and repairing driver seat. The foam on the left side has pushed my seat controller out of place..

Adding Headers; Hines 1 7/8" coated including X pipe. Purchased the full set all the way back, plus a new High Flow 3" KATs.. Have Borla Touring already. Also have new GM Ex. Gaskets..

Next will be; C5 Z06 leaf springs, 2013 C6Z06 Shocks, c6Z06-Z51 Sway bars and metal end links.

New Brake Pads, even though it doesn't need them. Being its apart that far...

Then upgrading/ adding a Ported & polished T.B. From Bill Curlee

Will be sending The ECM/PCM to be tuned also..

So far this year I have added a Catch Can, Twin Cones Air Breather system, Big 3 charging system upgrade, Loyd's Floor Mats, polished
Stainless Screws-(hood, trunk, and Door) area's.

Any Way,,,,,,,, Just thought I would share.....
AND,, Thanks to all the CF members and Vendor's for all your help in 2015.
Hoping Every one had a good Christmas, And Have A GREAT New Year..
Be Safe,,

Congrats in order. You will wake up with a smile every day.
Just a thought, if you are buying new leaf springs and shocks, why not upgrade to coilovers. One of the best mods for our C5's, and you get to remove the old technology, crappy leaf springs.

Thanks... Had considered that, but I have been saving up, get a couple parts then save again...Have been working with Bill C on some of the projects... With limited funds, best bang for spacing it out..

Congrats on your retirement, but from the sounds of it, it looks like you will be very busy with the car.

Congrats on your retirement. Sounds like a good list of stuff to do. Keep us updated on your progress. Are you planning on getting a tune after installing the headers?

I went into semi-retirement mode in 2000 after 20yrs with SkyWest Airlines. Did some lease back stuff with a couple flight schools for 5 years and then decided to move to a place with a little slower paced life style than California. Didn't work for 5 years, got bored and took a job at the local NAPA store, still there but I think I am going to slow down in 2016 and "smell the roses" as they say. Enjoy your retirement to its fullest, I am sure you earned it. Mike
