2004 Zoh Whine after installing a MGW
Installed a MGW shifter on Wednesday, and I drove her around and did not hear anything abnormal. Thursday on my way home, I downshifted and hit 3rd at 50 and punched it only to have to slam my brakes on due to a 18 wheeler cutting me off, and upon acceleration I now have a whine that sounds like the video in 4th, 5th, and 6th. I do not hear anything in 1, 2 and 3, depress petal sound goes away and upon pressing the gas you hear it.
This video is not mine, but this is exactly what my car is doing.
I have read and researched so much on this topic, I cant get any straight info, Joe blow says its the rearend, and Johnny Thunder says its your Transmission, And then you have Tommy saying its your bearings in your torque tube?
So much info in these threads I don't know what is what, the other threads do not have a video.
Thnaks,
Garrison

That shifter doesn't have the rubber isolater that the factory shifter has so you will hear transmission noises
