Forgive me
Forgive me for not waving/recognizing in other ways, towards fellow Vette drivers. As I live in Northern Colorado,it has been well documented, and observed, that we have drivers that must have obtained their driver's license via a cracker jack box. With that said, I'm compelled to drive in a more defensive manner rather than a more relaxed and pleasurable state.
Between no signal lights, running red lights/stop signs, cutting one off and many more stupid actions, which I have witnessed including bicyclists.
I have nothing against the 2 wheel people.
So if you see a C5 Pewter coupe w/ Viet Nam Veteran plates and I don't wave etc. it's not that I don't appreciate you.
Thank You for understanding.

As crazy as it may sound, there are times when we must keep our eyes on the road to avoid an unpleasant ending. So, we understand.
And thanks for your service.

jakecol - I am a new owner of a '04 Z06 and live in Severance.
Don't worry, I won't take it personal if we pass in FTC and I don't get wave...

Prospect, Harmony, Drake, College are all nightmares. Get around Laurel on a Friday afternoon during the school year and you are taking your life in your hands. A great town, but I don't miss the traffic.

Don't know how long you lived here, but it's gotten progressively worse every since 1982 when I moved here. Horsetooth is the new East-West College.

Even a route that not too long ago was wide open is now a disaster! The 12 mile trip east from the HP campus to Severance now takes over 30 minutes in the afternoon.

I know how you feel. I'm new to vette's and not used to so much power. When i'm driving my pickup truck i can spot a vette from blocks away. In my vette i'm clueless, trying to concentrate on driving.

Wow!! Never knew that there were so many northern Colorado lurkers on here!! I lived in Ft. Collins from 3/84 to 8/10. When I moved there, there was no such thing as a rush hour and pretty much nothing south of Horsetooth until you got to the Flea Market buildings on the way to Loveland. By the time I left, the rush hour was 24/7 on any of the main drags and the build-up is very close to continuous clear to Loveland. I live in Yuma now and am really enjoying the relaxed life speed here but I really miss all of the curvy roads behind Horsetooth and up the Big Thompson canyon, even though they are usually too busy to really enjoy any more. Not to mention that super aggressive and belligerent bicyclists have pretty much taken over Big Thompson canyon!!!!!! They are obviously convinced that it belongs to them and you can just suck it and putter along behind them as they are NOT about to allow you any room to pass or go around!!! Time to start targeting them with a good hood ornament as a sight!! A$$holes!!!
I owned property on top of Storm Mountain, above Drake, and had to deal with them on a daily basis most months of the year, so I know what I'm talking about!!

Yeah, I understand. By the way, I'm from Texas, originally (my dad was a real and true Texas Ranger, though after the horse-back days).
I was just so very entertained when Boulder's big expansion of bicycle lanes, and elimination of car lanes, was such a monumental failure!! Like you couldn't see that one coming a mile away!! But then again, we ARE talking about "The People's Free Republic of Boulder". They never got the memos that the Hippie movement faded out long ago!! I laughed my a$$ off when it came out on the news that the city council actually had to come out and admit that it was a failure (and that even in Boulder massive stupidity doesn't always fly no matter how many trees you hug really, really tight!!!!!) They restored the traffic lanes to their previous use for cars!! It will, of course, be under "further study" to reach a more equitable conclusion, ha ha!!!
