New to Corvettes and new to forum!!
Hi all, my name is Alex and I just purchased my first corvette a few days ago and loving it so far. Got a 99 6 speed Dark Blue coupe with right about 90K on it. Corvette already has Borla exhaust and a K&N intake and hurst Pro short shifter from previous owner. Looking forward to learning more about on the forum and enjoy it for some time to come!! Here are a few pics from when I drove it home.[/URL[/URL

Thank you! Current plans are to do a nice buff job, and go through and change all fluids and get it so I know everything is nice and up to date before I do any mods or have to much fun lol. Im going to try and resist the urge to mod for a little while but I'm sure thats not possible. For cosmetics I will prob change the rims to some ZR1 style black ones. As for performance mods, first will prob come headers since it already has the cutback and intake. Would like to get a cam as well but don't know to much about different specs and what not. Any advice will be welcomed!!

Welcome, beautiful C5!
In case you didn't know yet, you can 'google search' anything about your C5, to find threads with info you seek.
For instance, google 'cleaning radiator on C5 Corvette'. C5 is a bottom feeder, and gets it's air for radiator and AC condensor, from down below the car.
It also, sucks up leaves, paper bags, and all manner of things laying about the roadside. You must, as a part of regular maintenance get up under there, to clean this area. The google search will lead you to many threads here on the forum, and youtube videos, etc, which will help you learn about this, or any other quesion about your C5.
And of course, ask here on the Forum. We are lucky to have many guys, who know lots about these wonderful cars, (some who even designed and tested them from concept to production) who are willing and able to help.
Learn how to 'pull codes' from your DIC. Do a google search on this also. If an issue arises, the guys here, will need to know your cars 'DIC codes' in order to diagnose your problem and help you to solve it.
Great car, good luck,
Don

Haha, My Rubicon is my baby as well and will not be going anywhere, but I have modded it about as much as I want to go with it. Always wanted a Vette and luckily able to own both now. Looking forward to mods and working on my vette and joining what seems to be another great car community.
