Never selling my C5 but . . .
. . . that doesn't preclude the acquisition of a new garage-mate for it.
Picked up this loaded Blade Silver 2014 Z51 2LT M7 C7 this morning from a forum member who lives in my area. Awesome guy, Casey! He had to sell this C7 because his 6'3" height just didn't allow him to wear a helmet in it and autocross it so he picked up a 2015 Nissan GTR last night which has 2-3" more headroom. (Btw, he gave me a ride in the GTR this morning and, DAMN - WHAT A BEAST!!!!)
This is my new daily driver - it's replacing my 2011 100k-mile Mini Cooper S which I am retiring to backup-car status. It still looks and drives like new but I like a newer vehicle for a dd for peace-of-mind. Plus, I was ready for a change and the C7 is a perfect choice for me.
The drive home this morning in the C7 was awesome. Funny, with the heads/cam/headers/intake/gears I had done to my C5, it was probably faster than the C7. And the feel of the shifting and driving is reminiscent of the C5. But the C7 is most definitely 2 generations of refinement and engineering ahead of the C5. I will say that my C5 is different but still just as fantastic. Now I know I'd be just as happy with a C5 but the C7 has the modern features I like and want for a dd. The stuff I added to to my wife's C5 a few years ago (intake, gears, stall converter, double-din nav/stereo, etc.) to modernize it did bring it into this century and stretched it's lifetime ahead for many years.
The interior is fabulous! The driving position is perfect and the upgraded seats hug me like a custom glove - unbelievable. It's like the interior was designed around me, for me. I love it!
I have never seen a silver C7 in my commute since they were released, although, I've seen many C7's in other colors - even a murdered-out flat-black badazz-sounding C7. So, mine should be one of few silver C7's tooling around Irvine and Lake Elsinore. Plus, it came with both tops, one of which is the expensive and sought-after carbon fiber top.
I have loved the look of the C7 since I first saw it, unlike some of the detractors in this and other sections, so I knew I'd pick one up some day. And, yes, I do like the rear end, thank you very much! I love all gens of Vettes as well as other makes because I just love cars. I thought about a Z06 but it would be overkill for a commuter. Maybe the next one.
Thanks to Bill (Evil-Twin) for his usual awesome feedback and moral support during my search for a new dd. I can't begin to tell you what a wonderful friend and advisor he has been over the years.
Anyway, here are a few pics. Enjoy - or don't, depending on your take on the C7.
The wife and me at Casey's. GTR behind us.
Resting comfortably under my C5 which is in metamorphosis.
From the day I went to first check it out. Sorry about the dark pics - my iPhone in a dark parking garage.

Congrats on your C7 Ed.
Looks awesome in Silver. One of my top color choices. And the M7 is a must have.
As good as the turkey club looks Bill I would go with the Silver C7 hands down.

Melting Slicks
Looks like a winner, wish we could keep two like that, but our C5 barely gets 1000 mi. per year now, with a C7, something would sit a lot. Greetings from your old Hoosier state

Let's see. you have a Z06 CF spoiler, and a CF roof.
Let's look into ET's crystal ball: what do I see ?
1) CF Z06 Chin spoiler
2) CF Z06 CF side skirts.
