That crap started with my wife as well and I am THE worst passenger.
To stop all the bickering we got her one of these. 2015 Mustang GT 440hp 6speed manual.
It's fun watching her trying to keep up. lol Unfortunately I'm the first one the cops see.

I just got back from Portugal where just about everything is manual (and tiny 4cyl) and I had rented a new Ford Focus with the 1.0L 3cyl. Get this, the dam car would increase the throttle as you let out the clutch! It freaked me out the first time but I quickly got used to it. If you dumped the clutch it would stall but even if you kinda sucked at letting out a clutch the car would make up for it. Talk about an easy car to learn manual on. This world is idiot profing everything.

mine cant drive a manual - and since the engine build, long tubes, no cats and BB Bullets, she doesn't really like to ride in it.
But she's cool with it - it's my toy and she doesn't care what I do to it.

My wife does not want to drive my C5, which is OK if she is not comfortable doing so. At any rate, it's still OUR car.

Bought my wife her own Corvette...
It's a 2003 50th Anniversary Convertible with only 24, 000 miles on the odometer. And it's her daily driver - not a garage queen.
Best of all I get to drive my own Corvette - a 1966 convertible - and get a kick out of seeing her becoming obsessive about keeping her car in show condition.

My wife was driving a 95 Buick Riviera with 90k on it - really sweet car. I told for for about 6 months I wanted to buy her a Vette. When I got ours (notice how it changes from hers to ours) I asked her to get her car cleaned up really well to put some pics on Craig's list. She got upset as she did not know I was going to sell the Buick and she loved her car. Once the weather got nice and the top came down it was all over. It is her DD and my toy.

Back in the 70's I had a 65 coupe with the 365 HP 327 and a 4 speed. My wife taught at school for deaf students and she really loved driving our 64 (power glide) convertible to school, since the high school kids thought a teacher driving a drop top Vette was pretty cool. She loved the attention and decided she wanted to learn to drive the coupe with the 4 speed. I taught her how to drive a stick ( it took two men and a boy to push in the clutch on a high performance Vette in those days) She did pretty well, but soon tired of driving a stick shift in DC's beltway traffic.
Now she claims our C-5 vert as her own, and I'm driving our C-5 coupe as a DD. We're in our 70's now, and Vettes have been a part of our 46+ years of married life. They are just cars, but they are also kinda special.
BTW, the wife is just a gal, but she's kinda special too.

I have the same problem in reverse
I offered to find her a mazda miata, since they are cheapo cars anyways, and she that's for gay hairdresser. Even the chicks don't like them.
So I have to start looking for my own Corvette now, I guess. It seems like I should get a stick this time. Maybe a Z this time around.

My wife doesn't want my girlfriend in car. Totally possesive about the vehicle.
