im looking for a new cage to help mount my double din deck. Any ideas where to start, I found this one but don't know if I'll be able to make it work or not

Dennis can set you up with quality stuff at a good price.

This is made for the C6. It has a different center cage than the C5. The aluminium center cage on the C5 needs some modification to make the double din work. As stated above contact Dennis at Double D Mods. He has this swap down to a science. He can hook you up with everything you need to have a clean factory finished look. He offers various packages to fit different needs and budgets. Awesome customer service as well.

As others have stated that will not work. You also need to modify the structure behind the fascia. There is metal cutting involved! Chevrolet gave it their best effort to prevent radio changing. I have a Kenwood radio in my car with all the latest high tech features, the backup camera being one of my favorites. Without Dennis at DoubleD, it wasn't happening. Looks like factory, so you know what to do. Besides Dennis sold me my radio for less than anyone anywhere, extras included.
