I watched the video and I have a question. I'm looking to replace my shifter, however, what actually annoys me since i got my 2000 C5 vette, is how when shifting, there's a throw then a click at the end, like a double throw... and i notice sometimes going in gear that final click is hard to do. I'm not a newb, I am just unhappy with this effect.

It appears in the video with your shifter the same thing is happening. Is there any fix to make that more precise? I don't see the point of getting a short shifter that does the same thing or is this just the way the 6speed on a vette is?

Someone advise... grinding 1st and 2nd constantly making me look like a newb is no fun... plus I don't want to damage the tranny..

Totally uncool as then it's hard to heel & toe when you simply... miss...

Sounds like to me you have something going on with your car. Might want to look into your hydraulic setup to make sure its operating properly, and from there move to components like clutch, slave cylinder, and synchronizes. Part of the effect your feeling is the transmission engaging and disengaging in the transmission. This is typical of most cars on the market new or old. No shifter will have bearing on this.
