Default Removable roof squeak

Is this a common problem? If my 01 coupe goes through a dip in the road or hits a bit of a rut, above my head there is an annoying squeak. [am I spelling squeak correctly?]
What is good to spray on the contact areas for this problem?

Make sure the latch bolts are tight before you try lube. If they are tight maybe a little silicon lube spray would do the trick.

Remove the roof, on top of the windshield were the latch attaches there are little rollers in there that should be free to roll. I had to free mine with lubricant. I would recommend not to tighten the latch, especially if it is lexan. I believe that undo pressure can create stress on the roof.

Thanks for the tips. I should mention that my noise could almost be described as a "snap" sometimes.

If it is a snap, you may need to adjust the fit of the top to the car. Here are some files that might help you out. You could also try some dielectric grease to the weatherstripping to see if that helps.
