I run the Vreds on my 02Z.275/35/18 & 295/30/19.One of the better dry & wet grippers I have used.About $900 set.

It's a good DD setup for me.

If you are looking for a run flat the Michelin is the best you can buy.

I bought Bridgestone Potenzas last year, put almost 7000 miles on them so far. They are quiet, have a great ride, good grip and are wearing well. They were about $600. I would buy them again.

Bridgestone is good (I probably watched the synthetic rubber being made

I'm thinking of Coopers myself unless anyone has a bad experience

Plenty of options out there, but my recommendation is a set of Hankook Ventus V12 EVOs - great price and a very good all around non-runflat tire.

Use the search feature on the upper right and use tire brand as the key word - - happy reading.

I've had Nittos, Goodyears and Michelins- like the Michelins the best.

Like many on this forum, I agree that the Hankook V12s are one of the quietest, smoothest, best priced tires available for the C5, and the Michelins are very slightly quieter, and very slightly smoother, for a few dollars more.

Regardless, non-run flats are smoother and quieter than any run-flat equivalent.

Which Potenza tire did you go with? Re-11, S-04...

I just finished out my set of V12's and they served me great. About 2 years and many many hard miles. (I'll have to check the book to see how many exactly)

But I just purchased a full set of Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Positions. They should be going on this week.

...or a jack. Better carry a 12v compressor. Unless you get real damage, the compressor will usually get you home. You may have to stop and pump a few times tho'.

I have Continental extreme contact , quiet and impressive grip.. Depends on what kind of tires you need and how you drive.. If you just cruise to the car shows 3 times a year I'd just put the cheapest thing I could find on it, I assume if it still has the Goodyears that came on it that it's not driven much at all

The big improvement will be getting the Goodyears off of the car. You then need to decide how comfortable you are without run flats. Allmost all your tire choices will provide a better ride than what you have. Good luck and let us know what you go with.
