C7 driver didn't wave back..

While I drive with my windows down pretty much all the time, the times I do drive with the windows up people don't wave back.
For a moment I think either they don't know about the wave or they can't see me.
Either way, I could care less if they don't wave back. It's not my loss.

A while back I gave a non-enthusaist friend a ride to work (roughly 20 miles). It was the first time he rode in the C5 for any distance. He was like "Did that guy just wave at you?". I had the explain the whole thing. Funny thing is that he totally got into it so now if he's passenger he'll do the waving too.

Does a C7 driver lifting his center finger from the steering wheel count? If so, I think I got a wave today!

Off topic a bit, but your comment took me way back. When I was a kid, my Uncle had a '68. This was in Des Moines, Iowa, and there weren't a lot of Corvettes there back in the day, or so it seemed, but the wave was still in effect. When he was waved at, he wouldn't wave back, but just raise the index finger on his left hand. He wasn't trying to be rude with that subdued return wave (if that even qualified as a wave), but he also wasn't the type to do the wave. He was just the quiet, unassuming type, and the wave wasn't his thing.
That's why I think getting a wave back depends on the driver, mostly.

The real question here is what's up with C4 drivers?

I can't speak for RueBurgundy but I would speculate he feels C4 drivers don't wave, because he previously posted this:
Chance of Wave:
C7: 37.83%
C6: 73.29%
C5: 75.94%
C4: 52.88%
C3: 79.78%
C2: 81.71%
C1: 83.59%
I guess C7 and C4 drivers are the worst. After all, our Vettes are so similar.

Just kidding (mostly).

I have never met a C7 owner that didn't wave first.

My C7 is my 6th vette. I have had every gen since the 4th gen and I had a guy in a C5 the other day (not trolling) ask me what kind of car mine was.
