5 years later, still in love!
You guys/gals know the drill, and it's just like preaching to choir. Had a clutch issue last Saturday at the drag strip and just took it for a spin today. It drives fine even though I know it can't handle the power and it slips when the pedal is pushed to it's limits. Otherwise, it still is a fine looking car that gives me the ultimate driving satisfaction even 5 years later.
I'm excited waiting on Dennis to finish the dash and center console in red leather soon. So I'm going to put a new double clutch on hold till I'm done with the interior upgrade. THEN change the clutch and THEN install new RED seats.
It never ends and I just keep going.
Love this car, it's such an awesome ride to me personally.

Rick - your car is one of my favorites. Love what you have done to it and I can see why you still get a thrill out of it every time you get behind the wheel.

Beautiful Vette you have there!! All the time and money we spend with our cars is what makes us love them even more. It's to be expected to run into problems eventually, but we fix them and keep it moving. I'm 23 and very thankful to have purchased my very own 98 C5 Coupe last year at the young age of 22. It's a car I've always wanted but never thought I was gonna get one this young. When I graduated high school I bought a Black 1999 Camaro Z28 for 4500 with 100K miles. Within the first 2 years I had to replace the alternator and get the trans rebuilt. I later then got the AC fixed and replaced the fuel pump as well once it started giving me problems. I started working full time as well so of course I spent money on the car to get new wheels, spoiler, radio, and upgraded some parts here and there. Overall in the 4 years I had it, it was a great car that I loved very much. I had really big plans for the car and was planning a major overhaul but unfortunately I was rear ended and the car was totaled and thankfully I was not hurt or injured at all. I actually got 7k grand back for the car but I only paid 4500 so that was pretty sweet. I then used that money plus some of the money I had saved and bought myself a Vette!! Definitely put a big ol smile on my face and i couldn't be happier with my decison.
just a little story for yall haha...

Nice job Rick. Remember, they don't make cars this good looking anymore so keep upgrading and improving.

Rick - I enjoy watching how your car constantly evolves!
I hope the next five years are even better than the first five!
