"61" 270 horse, Ermine over red (gorgeous). Bought in "66" while in the Navy for $1800.00. Imagine!!
"99" bone stock, Torch Red over black w/sport seats, 80K and runs like the day it left the factory! I hope I have this one forever. Bought last April when I told the wife it was at the top of my bucket list, she knew I wasn't kidding. Pushing 70 I think the car will outlast me!

There have been seven Corvettes in my garage at one time or another:
'62 340 hp 4 spd vert
'65 250 hp 4 spd vert
'66 350 hp 4 spd coupe (owned for 47 years now)
'79 auto coupe
'01 4 spd coupe
'08 4 spd coupe
'13 4 spd 427 vert (current car)
But, a friend held the record for Corvettes owned. Prior to his death from cancer he owned 100 Corvettes with the last one purchased being a '65 396 4spd vert he purchased shortly before his death. He told me it was the Corvette he always wanted to own and he lived out his dream. He was a true Corvette man to the end. He also owned 75 street rods in his short lifetime (died at around 50 years old).

I've been fortunate to have owned 20 Corvettes since my first, a '58 fuel-injected, 4-spd, Big Brake option Corvette I bought from the original owner, my uncle, way back in 1970. I was 8-years old when he bought it and I would wash it almost every weekend for him. I was hooked. I bought the car from him in 1970. Corvettes in order of acquisition:

On number 11.....have had every gen except 1 & 7. My favorites were a 65 Roadster and a 72 big block and my 10 Grand Sport.....

Le Mans Master
I'm at 6 now. Finally made enough dough in my life to buy my first 5 years ago. I don't have credit for sh*t, so I'm a cash buyer...I guess you could say that holds me back but....repo man ain't gonna get me!
I'm still in my 30's so, I imagine I will end up with a few more in the future at this point, as long as I don't die.

i have had a total of 6 Corvettes. I bought my first Corvette two hours after getting off the airplane from a tour in Vietnam, a 69 Convertiable 427 and my last one is a 2013 Convertiable 427 , 60th Annv
