I think convertibles are ugly, but driving with the open air can be fun in the right car. Did all non-ragtop C5's have a removable roof?

No sir.. FRC called a fixed roof coupe. The Infamous Z06 is a FRC

You could have asked the question without insulting convertibles. Fixed roof coupes were available in 99 and 2000 and Z06's from 01-04. All other C5 coupes in all years 97-04 had a removable top.

But there's no rule that he has to share every thought when asking a question. "I think convertibles are ugly" adds nothing to the question. I think some people are ugly, but I don't lead with that when I'm asking for knowledge or advice.

The title says "coupes" and yes, all coupes come with a targa top on the C5. The "coupe" being other than convertible or Fixed Roof Coupe, both of those being self explanatory.
I bought a coupe rather than the Z06 because I like both the glass roof option and the no roof option (plus the additional storage is nice and needed). Not a huge fan of the FRC look in general, but I think the C5 vert is a lot nicer looking than the C4 vert was. Top up or down.

IMO.. Having opinions and sharing them unsolicited are sort of different colors.
On this forum unsolicited opinions are an invitation for flaming. Just my opinion.

I guess I stand corrected... All "coupes" are coupes, except the fixed roof coupe, that coupe does not have "targa tops" so I guess it's not really a coupe.. although it is affectionately referred to as a FRC aka Fixed Roof Coupe. Of course the convertible is neither a coupe or a fixed roof coupe it is just ugly.
Top is removable on the FRC but I would not advise doing it..

Seems legit. If you look at any Corvette resource, your options for body configuration are:
Coupe (has targa)
Fixed Roof Coupe (has no targa)
Convertible (has no need for targa)
So by nature, if someone refers to owning a Corvette Coupe, I extrapolate from that statement that the nature of their car is one that includes a targa top.
<edit>
A coupe is a 2 door car, so technically speaking, all Corvette's are in fact coupes, but there are 3 generalizations for body configuration of the C5, as outlined above.
<edit2>
And if you are handy, you can add a targa to an FRC, and if you are obscure there was a limited run of power hard top convertibles as well in the C5, or maybe that was aftermarket.
But I digress.

In my daughters view
Coupes are Silver
Convertibles are Yellow
Z06's are Black
and FRC's are pointless because they don't have a targa and aren't a Z06.
<edit> I fully admit that while I'm not a vert fan, a yellow vert with black top and black wheels looks damn good.
