Looks great. What did you remove the glue with. Ived used the rubber wheel before in a drill to remove glue from a metal fender but haven't tried it on a glass fender.

One 3" area with a bit of shading - rubbed it with Quixx Scratch Remover (rubbing compound and polish - didn't use the 3000 sandpaper) - did the trick.
A note: Any grit lodged in the crack between BSM and body is sure to scratch the clear coat as you heat the tape and saw through it with the fishing line (mine did some on the driver side - almost none on the passenger side). The scratches were shallow and cleaned up well with the two stage Quixx Scratch Remover (and lots and lots of rubbing with the compound - no sanding).

Wonderful post, and encouragement for others who may be daunted about removing their BSMs.
I know there are separate schools of opinion regarding BSMs, I don't have them on my Torch Red coupe, but I have to admit that on certain colors I think they compliment. I particularly like them on Pewter C5s..........................but only my opinion and I don't want to start a pro-anti BSM thread here.

Looks great! I did mine about a month or so ago. Very similar setup, but I used a heat gun, which really got things moving. I also rubbed my fingernails down like crazy.
A polisher and some swirl remover is all it took to look perfect.

While I like the look of BSMs on the cars, yours looks very good without them. Nice job getting them off.

Congratulations and welcome to the club. I did mine last fall and couldn't be happier. Once they're off, you realize what beautiful curves our cars have. Mine came off without too much trouble. I used fishing line and WD40. Then finished everything off with Bug/Tar remover and a final coat of TurtleWax Ice.

I'm with Vetteman Jack on this one. I like my BSMs, but the car looks great without them. I always enjoy seeing someone's mod and learning how he did it. Great work!
