My wife named the first one "Mistress" it's a 2002 EB Vert that I drive every day.

I needed something I could mod/race and not drive every day so I added a 2002 EB Z06 to the stable, mainly as a track car. Very loud, very fast, very agressive.

She named this one "Evil Twin".

Is this a difficult question? What is your car named?
If it has no name then why respond?

Because it's an internet forum, where it's basically an open discussion available to all members. Differing viewpoints are allowed (whether you like it or not).

Is that difficult to understand?

OMG..view·point
noun \-ˌpȯint\

: a way of looking at or thinking about something

So start a thread on why you should or shouldn't name your car..lots of room for differing viewpoints and discussion.

No thinking required..it has a name or it doesn't. Didn't ask if naming your car is a good idea or should I name my car. Or if your car doesn't have a name.
We can agree to disagree on this one>

Originally my wife HATED my decision to buy the car and thus she hated the car, so she named in "The Cockroach". Then she softened up and renamed it "Buttercup". Not a very masculine name, but that's the price of domestic harmony.

I had an ex who named literally everything. Drove me nuts, hence the reason I call my dogs "dog" and my cat "cat" now. I tend to name things based on what they are. Therefor, i say "the z" occasionally, but usually its just "the vette."
As a side note, if i'm out in the garage I have been known to call it "a good white ****" or something when working on it or cleaning it. Any time I would get on my old motorcycle I would say "come here, you ****." Believe it or not, I don't do drugs, and I don't abuse women.

OMG...tight·wad
ˈtītˌwäd/
noun

- a mean or miserly person.

"His life as a tightwad had provided him with a stable of cute, femininely named cars because he had no one else to share them with"

My car does have a name. It's called a Corvette Z06. You're right, No thinking required as Chevrolet actually named it for me. Imagine that. LOL.

Kidding aside - if you want to name your cars something "cuter" and more "personal", it's all good...goofy to me...but all good. In case you missed it, I never said it was or wasn't a good idea. I have absolutely no real problem with it. No need to be defensive to the several folks that posted to the contrary.

Go give Raquel a big kiss and carry on.

Ester. She's no spring chicken, but she's still hot enough to turn heads and can leave you in a corner.

<edit> My C4 was Marceline.

LOL thanks... that really is funny. I will lighten up, I guess I need to quit drinking mountain dew. Maybe the bone chilling weather and lack of C5 time is getting to me too.
PS My wife is the one that started the whole naming thing...she entrapped me and somehow lulled me into thinking this was normal It's all good bro...

LOL, glad you let that roll off your back...just having fun bud...and yeah, don't take what anyone says here too harshly/seriously (especially me). Opinions are shared whether asked for or not and as you can tell, vary widely.

Some may think you're weird for naming your cars but we still like you.

I understand. Wives make us do weird things. I look back at former hair cuts, fashions, etc...and am like WTH?

Raquel is sexy, BTW. I'd like to see pics of "The Beast" however!

Thank you its nice to hear a voice of reason... here he is

69 Chevelle SS real SS Auto turbo 400 with shift kit, original interior and color, and vinyl top. Full roller 427 cubic inches of raw, nasty GM horse power, square port high perf heads, Hooker headers, and I made the side pipes, girdles and a 750 double pumper on top. Conservatively 450 horse. Pink rods, TRW forged pistons, steel crank, 3500 stall converter.. those huge pipes make it sound nasty..they are 3' all the way
My grandson started calling it the "beast" and it stuck.

quick story... When I was in high school (a long time ago) my uncle took me for a ride in his new 429 cobra jet... and I was hooked. A few years after I got this car he was getting in his late 70's , so I went by to take him for a ride. He bought it from me the next day...about 3 years later his grand kids started arguing about who was gonna get his car when he died... so, he called me and ask if I wanted to by it back,so I did. I'm so glad he called...he's gone now... Loved that guy.

Oh yeah.. I bought this car for 10K at a used car dealership, didn't look this nice and it's been a while back
