In the never ending search for the next Mod I was looking into swapping out my intake with an LS6 and throttle body and was wondering if anybody out there has done so and what are your thoughts.

FYI, XSPOWER catted headers all the way back to tips, twin cone intake, a tune by ECS, C6 shocks and Z51 sway bars.

It is the next progressive step, unless you intend to go with an aggressive cam and ported heads than you may want to wait and jump to a fast 92 or 102

To my knowledge the TB are the same. I would find a LS6 manifold and TB for cheap and have them professionally ported out

According to your profile, you have a 2002.....therefore, you already have an LS6 intake.

I changed to LS6 intake and LS6 mass flow sensor and was told by SLP that the TB was good up to 500 HP.

Put LS6 intake, TB, headers, TIs and an ECS mail order tune on the wife's 99 A4 coupe. Totally different car after those mods. The car was no fun to drive since I bought my Z06 and put a MaggieTVS2300 on it, but since the mods I love driving it again.
