So I am going to try and put on a C7 Hood Vent...
So I have been looking at Aftermarket hoods for awhile and the only ones I have liked have been custom made. My body/paint guy is redoing my Tiger Shark front bumper because the paint match was just slightly lighter than my color and I asked him if he would do this for me as well.
I bought one through GM and he came over and we took some more detailed measurements compared to the quick ones I did at the dealer and it actually looks like it will fit nicely in line with the body lines... however it MIGHT cause some issues with my bigger air bridge so I need to find an alternative to my K&N and Black Wing with Icebox setup. Maybe a stock one meh.... or a C6 setup.
Either way here is the stock C7 Hood Vent, my wife works at GM so it ended up being 107.xx out the door. Not wonderful but not horrible either. We shall see how much I spend once he is done putting it on. I might trim a little off the bottom to help with clearance. Depends...
Either way I had not seen any other pictures of anyone else doing this so I figured why not share it.
Now with everything going on we don't expect it to be done until right before Christmas. Looks like this will be my Christmas present

Do a search......somebody else was doing this modification, a couple of months ago, and posted their work......maybe in the paint and bodywork section.

Looking forward to seeing how this turns out !
I'm a bit of a fan of vented bonnets... Done right of course , always liked the look of the ones on the Aston Martin Vantage..
Good luck!
