Do you jack it up using the spot where the jacking pucks would be located?

I bought my tires at Tire Rack and had them shipped to installer recommended by Tire Rack. If at all possible, I won't let anyone that I don't know put my car up on lift. It was easy since I was putting (new) alcoa wheels. Brought the alcoa wheels with my other car to the installer and he put on the new tires. Took the alcoa wheels back and installed them.
If you do it yourself, be sure to use jacking pucks.

hockey pucks and I bolts
Really kind of frustrated bought some new Hankooks from Tire Rack I have been to no less then 5 shops in my area (3 recommended by Tire Rack) No one seems to want to tackle the job most say they cant get it on the rack but at least one said it would damage the underside of the car so they didnt want to try it. I guess what I have to do is take them off and take them in. My question is do I need to buy these jack pucks to get the job done?

I always break out my out my pucks whenever I have to bring mine anywhere.....The shops I have used for tires and repairs have been very receptive to using them and I have never had any issues.
I purchased the stay in ones, but I didn't feel that they gave as much jacking surface as my homemade pucks.
